Holiday Home Selling Tips

A Story by Marc A. Dominguez | Updated 02/21/2017 12:00pm

1.)Staging the exterior of your home during the holidays. Unlike the interior of the home that we normally want depersonalized, it is okay to decorate your home with lights, walkway with pumpkins or ghouls and the yard with decor. Just make sure it’s tastefully done.

2.)Try putting out some Christmas cookies and treats for your visitors. They will remember the Ginger Snaps they picked up. If  you are lucky you created a good memory of your home.

3.)Try to avoid an excessive use of lights when your home is for sale. Even if it is fun to watch.Too many lights can be distracting, or draw the buyers eye away. We want the buyer focused on the home and it’s amenities.
